Dustin Snyder, CFA, ASA, is a Director at AltaView in its Salt Lake City office. Dustin specializes in the valuation of privately held companies across diverse industries for a variety of purposes, including estate planning, mergers and acquisitions, corporate planning, stock-based compensation (ASC 718/409A), purchase price allocations (ASC 805), goodwill impairment (ASC 350), and impairment of long-lived assets (ASC 360).
Prior to joining AltaView, Dustin was a Senior Manager at Moss Adams LLP, a top 15 accounting firm, where he led the valuation practice in the firm’s Salt Lake City office. His industry expertise spans software/technology, construction, manufacturing, consumer products, and auto dealerships. In addition to his valuation work, Dustin has extensive experience in financial leadership roles, having helped form and operate companies in the software and healthcare sectors.
Dustin holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) in business valuation. He is deeply involved in the estate planning and valuation communities, serving as President of the Salt Lake Estate Planning Council and as a member of the Mountain West Capital Network Deal Flow Committee.
As a recognized expert in business valuation, Dustin speaks at industry conferences and professional events on topics such as estate planning, business transactions, and financial reporting considerations.
